Local Justice Work

We believe that where God has planted us is where our work should begin. Any work that we do overseas should flow out of the work we do right here at home. For that reason, we should view ourselves as active participants in the community that God has placed us in.

Refugee Care Collective

Refugee Care Collective mobilizes the city of Portland to welcome refugees from around the world who are resettling in the Portland Metro area. They value building relationships and helping with tangible needs so that refugees are empowered to rebuild their lives and step more fully into self-sustainability while learning about, and truly embracing, their new home.

With Love

With Love supports foster families by providing safe, clean, and quality clothing and supplies for children ages 0-6. Many times, foster parents find out they are receiving a child mere hours before bringing them home. For that reason, they are often unprepared and overwhelmed. With Love strives to provide families with everything they may need, from clothes to car seats, to toys and diapers.

Compassion Connect

Compassion Connect’s mission is to bring churches together to serve their neighborhoods. They do this by running free health clinics led and hosted by local churches and by actively preventing the exploitation and trafficking of young people through intentional mentoring.

Safe Families

Safe Families provides hope and support to families in crisis in our local communities. Their goal is to help keep more local families together, averting the trauma of long-term separation for both parents and children. They work to keep children safe during a family crisis such as homelessness, hospitalization, or domestic violence in an effort to prevent child abuse and neglect. Their ultimate goal is to reunite families and reduce the number of children entering the child welfare system.

Catalyst Partnerships

Catalyst Partnerships started in September 2007 as an informal grass-roots movement, consisting of a few families and individuals who simply wanted to help neighbors who needed assistance with home repairs due to physical or financial limitations. Today, Catalyst Partnerships inspires people, builds hope, and nurtures the community by bringing together donated resources and caring volunteers to do free critical construction repairs for low-income neighbors.
