This is a trip to MamaBaby Haiti, a free birth center in Northern Haiti that provides free prenatal, birth, and postnatal care for moms and their babies in the most fragile area for mamas and babies in the Western Hemisphere.

As a team member you will be going to serve alongside the midwives at the clinic in both the labor and delivery room, as well as helping with various aspects of prenatal care and community education that take place on the clinic grounds.

The midwives at MamaBaby work three weeks on 24/7, before taking one week per month to return to their homes and families.  During your trip, you will have the opportunity to care for these tireless women as well as the community they serve. 

Due to the setting and cultural aspect of this trip, applicants are limited to women only, who are nurses, midwives, and physicians assistants.  Nursing students will be considered.



Important Information about Hear The Cry Trips:

  • Trip cost includes airfare, food, lodging, insurance, ground transportation, supplies and excursions. Team members are responsible for any additional snacks and souvenirs during travel.
  • Interviews for each team will begin on the Application Deadline date for each trip.
  • Passports are required for all destinations, and must be valid for 6 months past the date of departure. Allow 4-6 weeks for any passport application and processing time.
  • India and Myanmar applicants must have a valid passport in hand at the time of the application deadline.
  • Upon acceptance to the team, a non-refundable deposit of $25 will be required as you set up your fundraising and online profile.  50% of the total cost is due two months prior to departure, and the remaining balance two weeks before departure.
