Hear The Cry – Christmas Justice Initiative
This year for our Hear the Cry giving catalogue, we are putting all of our focus on Global and Local Refugee care. We work very closely with refugees in Iraq, Somalia and Portland OR. Food, shelter, family, and the love of Jesus is provided from incredible people that serve these amazing people day in and day out. One of the main things that we can offer these vulnerable people is a future, and the best way we can provide for their future is good, consistent education. While providing a good home is a huge step for many of them that have had nothing, it is not enough to ensure a healthy future for them and their families. Education, starting with a good foundation in primary school and high school, and then on to college is critical.
We have a number of ways you can get involved with these families from all over the world providing them with the necessary tools to thrive in their environment. Take a look at all the different options below and hopefully as a church we can take care of hundreds of families and children to provide an opportunity that otherwise would not be possible.
You should know that all of these organizations I have been working with for years, and we have been on the ground working side by side with the locals that care for these kids. I can say with confidence that they are all worthy of our gifts and support and all are current partners of Hear the Cry. If you have any questions please don’t hesitate to email me or just come on a trip next year and see what God is doing through your generosity. On behalf of the Pastors and Elders we want to say thank you so much for your generosity. All of this is possible because of how you give. May Jesus continue to move his kingdom forward and may we as a church run towards helping the least of these in some of the most vulnerable places on earth.
Grace & Peace,
