Hear the Cry and Hands of Hope support 18 orphan homes in Zimbabwe. Our desire is for children to become a part of a family. In addition to three meals a day, clothing, medical attention, counseling, and shelter, we desire to provide children in our homes education and additional opportunity for skills building and training. We want them to have the best advantages possible to be able to provide for themselves and a family of their own in the future.
We would like to add computer fluency to this list of skills that may better position them for university and job placement in what is an extremely competitive environment.
In August 2017, a Hear The Cry team will be traveling to our homes in Zimbabwe and will carry these computers with them. The computers will be used to teach skills building workshops and then will remain in Zimbabwe for the children to leverage for continued learning and use.
The goal: 10 computers
The outcome: Lives and futures changed
